We have a fabulous Governing Body who meet at least half-termly. Their role is to support and challenge and ensure the school is providing the best possible opportunities for all pupils. They met this week and here is how their decisions and oversight are helping our children:

They approved plans for a new sensory room, which will support children who need a calm and supportive space.

Thanks to careful budgeting, they agreed we can increase staffing next year, helping provide even more support for pupils.

They discussed the positive results from our Thrive approach (supporting children’s emotional wellbeing) and will be looking at this even more closely.

They discussed our Launchpad to Literacy programme which is making a real difference in helping EYFS children develop early reading and communication skills.

Governors are keeping a close eye on school performance data to make sure we’re continually improving outcomes for all children.

They are actively monitoring safeguarding in school to keep all children safe.

With the school, they are exploring more ways to engage with parents and carers, as your involvement matters.

They discussed how we are committed to supporting children with SEND, making sure they receive the right provision and thrive in school.

They discussed how equality and diversity training is helping create an inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
